Depending on whom you hang out with, Microsoft Outlook may not be the most popular piece of software. Google’s mail, Mozilla Thunderbird, Yahoo, all deserve much of the attention they receive. However, Outlook remains one of the best tools in the Microsoft Office suite largely due to its extensibility. Addins or Plugins can greatly enhance its capabilities, even giving you direct connection with some of the other email tools previously mentioned.
Let’s also not forget that Outlook is more than just an email client. It supports full calendar operations through appointments and tasks, as well as giving other options, for keeping notes and lest not forget contact management.
